The heart of longing
Clouds chase the moon, while the world remains unchanged and people are far apart, unable to gaze at each other. The dim moonlight, this poem is from "The Record of the Fire Beacon and the Wanderer," Part One, Volume One, Chapter Fifteen. Duke Hengtel's team, in pursuit of the magic stone, takes shelter in the cold cave of the Kedo Mountains. The elven girl, Sakura, on night watch, gazes at the pitch-black night outside the cave, and cannot help but think of her lover, the human paladin Fengling, from whom she has recently parted. With a pure heart, the girl cherishes her affection for her beloved, and in this chilly, quiet, yet perilous cave filled with danger, she softly sings of her long-lasting yearning. Bathed in the cold moonlight, she reflects: Do you remember, in our childhood, playing together, gazing at the bright moon? As the wind passes, who can understand the confusion in your heart? Can you confide your innermost feelings to the moon? Like the frost in your heart, who can reminisce with you? The wind chases the clouds, and the bright moon reflects in the heart. The moon shines brightly, the clouds disperse, and those far from home.
Cloud Chasing the Moon
Things remain the same, yet people have changed; a thousand miles apart, we can no longer see each other
The moon without light
This poem is from the first part, upper volume, chapter fifteen of "The Chronicles of the Firelight Ranger." The small team led by Duke Hengtel, in pursuit of the magic stone, takes shelter in a cold cave in the Kodo Mountains. The elven girl Ying, who is on watch, gazes at the pitch-black night outside the cave and cannot help but think of her lover, the human paladin Fengling, from whom she has recently parted. With her innocent heart filled with longing for her beloved, she softly sings of her deep affection in this chilly, quiet, yet perilous cave filled with danger.
Bathed in the cold light of the moon
People ponder
Do you still remember
Playing with you in childhood
Gazing at the bright moon
The wind has passed
Who can resolve the confusion in your heart?
Can one confide their innermost feelings to the moon
Like the frost in my heart
How many people reminisce with you
The wind chases the clouds
The bright moon reflects in the heart's chamber
The moon shines brightly
The clouds dissipate
Those who are far away from their hometown
